Badam halwa

Ingredients

Badam-1 cup (skin peeled)
Sugar-11/4 cup
Milk-2 tablespoon
Ghee-3 tablespoon
Water-1/2 cup
Cardamom powder

Method

Finely grind the badam with milk

Prepare sugar syrup with 1/2 cup of water

Add the ground badam paste and stir well to avoid any lumps.

stir continuously this mixture so that it does not stick to the pan.

Add a few tsps of the ghee at regular intervals.

Groundnut halwa

Ingredients

Groundnut-2 cups
Milk-2 cups
Sugar-1cup
Gee-2 tablespoon
Cardamom powder- 1/2tsp
Cashews-10

Method

Clean the groundnut & remove its coating
Grind the groundnut coarsely
Add powdered groundnut, sugar & gee in the milk
Keep it on fire and stir continuously.
When it becomes thick, add cardamom powder
Mix well and pour the batter into a greased vessel & garnish with cashews

Pineapple halwa

Ingredients

Ripen pineapple-1 medium
Sugar-4 cups
Ghee-3 tablespoons
Condensed milk-3 tablespoons
Badam & cashews-10

Method

Put 11/2 tablespoon of ghee in a pan and add finely chopped pineapple
Cook for 10-12 minutes on simmer and continuously stir it(no need to add water)
Sprinkle the rest of the ghee little by little
Mix the condensed milk when the pineapple turns dark yellow in colour.

Walnut halwa

Ingredients

Walnut-100 gm
Sugar-100 gm
Elachi powder-1/2 teaspoon
Cashew nut-50 gm
Gee-6 tablespoon

Milk-100 ml

Method

Grind the walnut in mixi
Add milk to the walnut powder & mix it(idly mavu consistency)
Heat ghee in Pan & add the mix
Add sugar and stir it
After it reaches the halwa consistency ,add Elachi powder & fried cashews in it
Serve at room temperature

Beetroot halwa

Ingredients

Beetroot-1/2kg
Milk Kova-1/2 kg
Oil-100 ml
Sugar-1/4 kg
Elachi powder-1teaspoon
Cashew nut-50 gm
Gee-200 gm
Maida flour-100 gm

Method

Heat ghee,oil in Pan ,add the flour and roast till the flour become brownish.
Add the shredded beetroot and fry it
Add sugar into the fried beetroot,stirring continuously
Now add Elachi powder,fried cashews in it

Atta halwa

Ingredients

Atta-1 cup
Ghee-1 cup
Sugar-3/4 cup
badam, cashews-2 tablespoons(chopped)
Water-31/2 cups

Method

Heat ghee in Pan ,add the flour and roast till the flour become brownish. Keep stirring continuously
Prepare syrup using water & sugar
Now add the syrup into the pan slowly, stirring continuously
Cook for a few minutes till it reaches the halwa consistency (leaves the sides of pan)
Garnish with chopped nuts

Bread halwa

Ingredients:

Bread-1 Packet
Milk-1L
Sugar-1 ¼ cup
Ghee -3/4 cup
Elachi powder-1teaspoon
Badam-10
Cashew nuts-10

Method

Add gee and fry the Bread slices till it turns golden brown
Cut the fried bread slices into small bits
Grind badam and cashew nuts to a fine paste & mix  elachi powder in it

Chow Chow with pumpkin halwa

Ingredients

chow chow-1
Yellow Pumpkin-1/4 kgs
Sugar -3/4cup
Gee-2 tablespoon
Elachi powder-1teaspoon
Color powder
Cashew nut-10

Method

Peel and shred the chow chow & yellow pumpkin
Fry the shredded vegetables in gee
Add sugar to it & mix Thoroughly
After it comes to halwa consistency ,add some gee & mix again

Finally add color powder, elachi & fried cashews

Pumpkin halwa

Pumpkin-3 kgs
Sugar syrup-2 tumbler
Elachi powder-1teaspoon
Color powder
Cashew nut-10

Method

Peel and shred the pumpkin
Pressure cook for 5 whistle
Squeeze all the water with thin cloth
prepare syrup
Add squeezed pumpkin in the syrup
Add color powder, elachi & fried cashew
